The Independent Musicians Alliance has created the Musicians Assistance Fund to support our mission of solidarity within the Bay Area jazz community. This fund creates tangible benefits for dues-paying members of the IMA by offering reimbursement for musicians’ expenses and professional opportunities.

Through this fund, the IMA supports the efforts of members to better themselves and their colleagues.  IMA musicians are setting new professional standards in our community and as a result venues and presenters recognize the value of hiring them. This fund will be available by application for dues-paying members of the IMA. The Bird and Beckett Cultural Legacy Project has generously contributed the funds to begin this program.
